Small, simple, LED lights
Next to a knife, some rope and a way to make fire, a dependable light can really be useful in an emergency.

These lights come apart with four screws. They start with two 3 volt batteries

The switch holds the batteries. The tray moves forward and locks around the screw post to stay on until moved back by pulling the switch back
