Gerber Multi-Plier 600 Needle Nose

Gerber Multi-Plier 600 Needle Nose (in black) Review

Well, it finally came in the mail yesterday. Having my first and last name engraved on it took longer than expected, but it is a nice touch.

To start things off, I was looking for a replacement for my old Leatherman Super-Tool (that I thought was lost). After ordering this Gerber Multi-Plier, I suddenly remembered where my Leatherman was... go figure Wink

Anyway, on to my personal review of the Gerber Multi-Plier 600.

There were many options to choose from in the 600 series. I finally decided on the Multi-Plier 600 w/carbide cutters w/sheath option.

This tool includes:

Needlenose pliers with a 3 sided carbide wire cutter, large, medium and small screwdrivers, cross point screwdriver, lanyard ring, Drop Point kinfe blade, serrated knife blade, can opener, bottle opener, file, crimper, wire cutter and a scale. All blades lock open using Gerber's Patented SAF-T PLUS™ locking system.

Overall, I am impressed with the quality of construction for this tool. The blades have very nice edges on them, and should provide years of service. I haven't used this very much in the day that I've worn it, but with the canvas sheath, it is very comfortable to wear, practically unnoticable. I've shown it to a couple friends at work that carry similar multi-tools, and they like mine better. Wink

I will add an update after this week of carrying/use to see how it performs.

Here's some pictures of my personal Gerber. Enjoy!
