The Gerber Artifact is a solidly built inexpensive keychain size multi-tool. The Artifact Features: a removable #11 hobby blade (x-acto style), a philips screwdriver, Small and medium flat screwdrivers, Wire stripper, Pry bar / paint can opener, Lanyard or keychain attachment hole. It is made in china which so far is its biggest downside from our initial tests during the last few weeks. It is made of 'cast stainless steel' according to the package, it is stout and we have not been able to break it or even bend it so far. The blade is not something I use too much, but it is easy to replace when dull or broken. At just under $10 this handy tool is a must have in our opinion

This is a knife that is no longer produced it is a Becker Combat Utility Knife, BK7. This knife has a seven inch long clip point blade which is .188 inches thick made from 0170-6C carbon steel. The Becker BK7 weighs 12.9 ounces. The full tang blade has a thumb ramp notch to help control the knife while cutting. The Becker Combat Utility Knife sheath is ambidextrous and made from nylon with a kydex liner. It has a pouch ont he front for a sharpener or folding pocket knife / multi tool. This is a rugged knife that will hold up to almost any abuse

We have been using this Schrade Tough Chip 11 Function Mini-Shear / Multi-Tool with locking blades / implements for safety. The Schrade Tough Chip tool is made of 100% stainless steel in the USA and has a Lifetime Warranty from Schrade. So far it has worked well and been useful. It stays in a backpack that is carried to school (college) by a full time student / dad and gets plenty of use. It has held up well with little damage over time.

I was impressed as soon as I opened the package with this emergency headlamp.

It seems very well made and ready for rugged use.
We plan to put this light to the test over the next few months,including a trip to Cental America and various outings around the US.

This is an overview and review of this wide mouth / soft side style of bag for a home repair tool kit. I am not sure of the manufacturer, but this style of bag is very useful, The many inside pockets allow tools to stand upright and accessible when needed. This bag is comfortable to carry so it's useful at home and away and it offers a lot of extra space for specialty tools, parts or whatever.

Between 60 & 70% of US tungsten consumption is used in the manufacture of new carbide. Last year, tungsten recovered from scrap accounted for 31% of tungsten consumption by US processors and end users.
The rest was imported; 43% of the import was from China. China has approximately 65% of the worlds known tungsten reserves and last year produced 86% of the newly mined tungsten, world wide.

China is also the worlds largest tungsten consumer. The Chinese Government, in order to conserve its resources and meet its increasing domestic demand, has limited tungsten production and exports while increasing tungsten imports. These policies are expected to continue.

IDL Tools T-10 and the Leatherman Squirt P4 side by side. These are two pocket pliers we have been reviewing. The two are about the same size when open and weight. But when closed the Leatherman Squirt P4 is slimer and more comfortable. The Leatherman Squirt P4 is just under 1-inch wide, 2-1/4-inches long, 4 inches long when open, 1/2-inch thick. The IDL Tools T-10 is 1-1/4-inch wide, just over 2-inches long 4 inches long when open and just over 1/4-inch thick. The IDL Tools T-10 weighs 1.8 ounces, the Leatherman Squirt P4 Pocket Pliers weighs 2.1 ounces. The IDL Tools T-10 jaw opens wider to a little over an inch, the Leatherman Squirt P4 open to only a bit less than an inch.
